In Conversation with Amit Chaudhuri

Amit Chaudhuri is one of India’s leading novelists and a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.

He was the editor of Picador’s anthology, Modern Indian Writing, and was also the first Indian to judge the Man Booker International Prize. He is currently a Professor of Contemporary Literature at the University of East Anglia.
 
Professor Chaudhuri will be performing his new jazz/raag theatre composition with a live band at The Drum at 7.30pm the same evening.

A Moment of Mishearing is an all-new eclectic multi-media musical production exploring the literary and musical ideas of celebrated Indian writer and musician Amit Chaudhuri, who with the five-piece Amit Chaudhuri Band present an evening of music, words and images in a show about memory, chance and a city fusing the literary and musical ideas that have shaped his life.
