From rural India to rural Norway. Godaan - "the gift of a cow", is a contemporary dance work based on the celebrated novel by the Indian writer Munshi Premchand. Premchand's is an ambitious work exploring social and economic conflict in a North Indian village before Independence through the story of Hori, a poor farmer, and his family's struggle for survival and self-respect. The choreographer, Sudesh Adhana, was born in India and is now living and working in Oslo.

Traditional dancers from all over Gujurat gather at Modhera's incredible medieval Sun Temple for the Modhera Dance Festival. The event showcases the region's classical dance forms in the manner in which they were originally intended.
The Sun Temple's outer walls, covered with sculptures of the sun god, Lord Surya, act as a dramatic backdrop during the event.

The present carries within it burdens of the past as well as the fantasies of the future. Can these links be broken, so that a timeless moment is born?
The Dharani Kalotsav organised by 'Society Dharani' a Cochin (Kochi) based cultural organisation, is a five-day dance and music extravaganza held every year in Kochi, Kerala. The Festival runs from 1-5 November 2012.
