Anusha Kedhar began her
training in Bharata Natyam under the direction of Ramya Harishankar (US) in 1982.
She has also learned abhinaya from Kalanidhi Narayanan (India), flamenco from Isabella
Fernandez (Spain), and furthered her Bharata Natyam training with Mavin Khoo (UK).
She was an artist-in-residence at University of California, Los Angeles in 2007
and a Fulbright Scholar to India in 2008. Anusha has danced with Angika, Sadhana
and Atma dance companies, choreographed collaboratively with kathak dancers, jazz
pianists, and taiko drummers, and is currently finishing her PhD in Critical Dance
Studies. When Anusha is not watching, eating, breathing, making, practicing, or
writing about dance, she is really not doing much else. |
